Chinese New Year highlights similarities between snakes and meerkats

The Chinese New Year begins on February 10th 2013.All For One - Chinese snake

This year will be the year of the snake, animals who are said to be good thinkers, very aware and guided strongly by intuition. Although natural enemies of snakes in the wild, meerkats also possess these same qualities, which help to keep them safe at all times. Safety training film All For One – The Meerkat Way draws inspiration from nature, and teaches us how we can stay safe by listening to our instincts, working as a team, and communicating effectively with our colleagues.

While the festivities of the New Year kick off in other parts of the world, we will be celebrating here at Lattitude for a different reason. In the year of the snake, All For One – The Meerkat Way is to be translated into its 13th language, Mandarin (dubbed).

This engaging training film is already available to purchase with subtitles in Mandarin, and is currently being used worldwide by over 1000 organisations. The Meerkat Safety™ training programme has helped win many awards for outstanding safety including:

  • The Platinum WorkSafe Plan (City of Belmont)
  • Gypsum Safety Award (Lafarge Plasterboard UK)
  • Linde Group’s Silver Safety Award (BOC Morden)
  • European Safety Award (BOC Morden)
  • Safe Work ACT Award – Most Successful Promotion of OH&S in Workplaces (Bovis Lend Lease)
  • Best OHS Training Programme at the National Safety Awards of Excellence (Alphapharm)

All For One – The Meerkat Way focuses on teamwork and the art of listening to your safety instinct. This beautifully shot film has proven time and time again to positively change safety culture, and has been helping workers return safely home to their families all over the world.

It also features the animal of the year, so watch out for that snake!
